ADHD brains may tend to have time-blindness, in which we see the timepiece, but maybe process it in a different way.
For me, I always liked analog clocks because it shows me how much time I have left in an hour, and I count by those 12 blocks of 5 min each. Logarithm... Idk, me not so math.
I hate digital time, especially if it is in 24 hrs. it gives me different info even if it is showing the same time as an analog timepiece. I hated the transition towards using mobile devices as alarms and timepieces.
The analog clock widgets change the game for countering my time-perception differences. But I am not content with what is available, not yet. I need more customisation in terms of function - what info needs to be displayed, in what way, and what doesnt need to be there. And display.
It is not just an aesthetic theme. I am hypersensitive to visual and audio stimuli, they stress me out to the point where I get frozen in panic when it is bad. I am always dark mode on my devices, filtered, with dim screen brightness. Hence the reason I am on this path to designing and building widgets that accommodate my atypical needs. I hope you find the right ones for you too.
