Terms of Service

widgetopia is a service offered by Watch Faces & Widgets Ltd (“we”, “us”). These terms cover the widgetopia apps for iPhone and Android and the widgetopia.io website (together, the “Service”). By using the Service you agree to them; if you don’t agree, please don’t use it.

Your account

You need an account to publish widgets or keep a profile. Keep your password to yourself: you’re responsible for what happens on your account. You can delete it at any time from the Account page.

Using widgets

You can browse, download, customise and add widgets to your own devices for personal use. Widgets published on widgetopia belong to the people who made them; downloading one doesn’t give you the right to republish it as your own. Customised copies you make are yours to use, and you can share them with friends, but please credit the original designer and don’t publish someone else’s work as yours.

Publishing widgets

You keep ownership of the widgets and other content you publish (“your content”). When you publish, you:

• give us permission to host, show, copy, reformat and distribute your content through the Service, so people can find and use it;
• confirm the content is your own, or that you have the rights to everything in it, including images and fonts;
• confirm it doesn’t infringe anyone’s copyright, trademark or other rights, or anyone’s privacy.

Content must not be defamatory, obscene, pornographic, hateful, harassing or discriminatory, or promote illegal or harmful activities or substances. We may remove content that breaks these rules, or that we reasonably believe does, without notice.

Copyright complaints

We respect copyright and expect users to do the same. If you believe something on widgetopia infringes your copyright, email [email protected] with a link to it and details of your work, and we’ll take it down where appropriate. We close the accounts of people who repeatedly infringe.

Purchases

Some widgets and features need a Pro purchase or subscription, bought through the App Store or Google Play and charged to that account. Subscriptions renew automatically unless you turn off auto-renew in your App Store or Google Play settings at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their policies.

Acceptable use

Don’t misuse the Service: don’t try to break or overload it, get around its limits or security, scrape it in bulk, or use it to harm other people.

Ending your use

You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms. We may also change or stop parts of the Service; if we stop it entirely, we’ll try to give notice.

Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. Widgets show information such as time, weather, steps and battery as best we can, but we don’t guarantee it’s always accurate, complete or available; don’t rely on it where accuracy really matters. To the extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of data, arising from your use of the Service. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have as a consumer that can’t be limited by law.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We’ll post the new version here and change the date at the top; if you keep using the Service after that, the new terms apply.
